This advanced cruising standard is designed for individuals with previous cruising experience.
Sailors must act as skipper and/or crew of a multihull sailboat 30 to 50 feet in length by day in coastal waters.
The standard includes skills unique to a multihull of this stated length.
Course Focus:
This Course teaches handling of a multihull under sail, and how it differs from monohulls, learning how to dock and maneuver, and heavy weather multihull sailing.
You will discover the advantages and disadvantages to operating a multihull sailboat, and the differences in vessel systems between multihulls and monohulls, including common mechanical maintenance.
Additional Information:
This is a three to five day Sail and Learn course in Hawaiian waters.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Cruising Multihull Sailing Certificate.
This course may include a slightly different itinerary based on weather conditions and Captain's discretion.
