Students must demonstrate their knowledge of navigational theory, chart symbols, terminology, USCG navigation rules, local rules and regulations, tides and currents, basic radio knowledge, etc.
Required to safely navigate a sailing vessel in coastal and inland waters.
Course Focus: Basic navigation tools and technologies for coastal piloting.

This course is offered as home study or classroom, but can also be done aboard one of our boats for hands on practice and learning as part of our 7-Day Cruise & Learn package.

Participants will be required to take a written Coastal Navigation test. Upon successful completion participants will receive a Coastal Navigation Certificate.
Classes are held throughout the year.
