Advanced Coastal Cruising  (ASA 106)

• Prerequisites:
  • ASA 101 - Basic Keelboat Sailing Certificate
  • ASA 103 - Basic Coastal Cruising Certificate
  • ASA 104 - Bare Boat Cruising
  • ASA 105 - Coastal Navigation
• General Description:
  
  • An advanced cruising course for individuals with prior cruising experience. Sailors must act as skipper and/or crew of a sailing vessel 30 to 50 feet in length in coastal and inland waters, in any conditions.
• Course Focus: 
  
  • This course study includes day and night sailing and navigation in coastal waters with preparedness for any weather conditions.
    
  • Advanced Anchorage and vessel systems handling is part of the lesson.
• Additional Information: 
  
  • This is a five to seven day Sail and Learn course in Hawaiian waters on either the Ranger 33 or Nordic 44, both blue-water cruisers.
    
  • Upon successful completion participants will receive an Advanced Coastal Cruising Certificate.
  • This course may include a slightly different itinerary based on weather conditions and Captain's discretion.
